Though not a specialist in graphic design, I am responsible for the design of this site. My other pieces of original work have been collected together into a gallery.
The site itself is a Drupal installation (originally version 5 and now upgraded to 6) and in order to skin it as I wished using CSS, the theme Zen was used as a starting point. This was later ported to the Framework theme which has subsequently become the standard blank canvas used in our installations. Many thanks to the Drupal community who have produced something really quite amazing.
The splashed paint effect background image was created using the software Context Free. The code used to generate the image was a design called Mama Oh Seo by Momo with the very minor change of dropping the alpha level of the background back to transparency.
The logo is simply the name of the site "Patchrobe" rendered using the International Phonetic Alphabet. I have taken a few extremely minor liberties with the pronunciation for the sake appearance and legibility, but it is an accurate rendering of the word. The font used is Gentium released by SIL International
