About

I'm a developer and systems administrator specialising in content and inventory management. This usually involves my favourite tools of the LAMP stack (that's Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP for those of you who are search engines) and middleware such as Documentum or Drupal. Essentially using computers and databases to keep track of things, be they pieces of paper, bottles of beer or trainers, is what I'm really good at.

I strongly prefer learning from other people's mistakes rather than having to make my own. That's why I think design patterns in software development and best practice in systems administration and service management are really good ideas.

When not making computers do really cool stuff, I'm generally trying to snowboard in Val d'Isere, surf in Hossegor, playing the guitar or reading about physics or philosophy.

Unfortunately these are not things I'm any good at all, but if we were only allowed to enjoy things we're good at, then the human race would probably be a lot smaller.
